PERSONALITY
Events are a wonderful human experience! Many personalities in one room. We have over 15 years of experience photographing events. High profile stuff with high profile people—politicians, athletes, authors, business leaders, and artists. We’ve learned a few things along the way. Photographing a live event requires:
- The ability to read a room. Know what is appropriate. Know what is not. Walk the line between being getting the shot and staying out of the way.
- Connecting with people. We try to hard to gain the trust of the people in the room—most of the time this just means being friendly, empathetic, considerate, and engaged.
- Timing. We are keen observers of human behavior and our experience allows us to anticipate moments to be in the right place at the right time.
- Technical expertise. Manipulating our camera and lighting equipment has become second nature. Less experienced photographers are troubleshooting camera settings while important moments are passing by. We have seen it all and even our backup plans have backup plans.
What’s this gonna cost me?
$250 per hour, which includes high resolution photos, typically delivered the next day. Hourly rate can be negotiated for full day or multiple day events.
