When a really kind and good looking couple asks you to photograph their destination wedding, you say yes. That is how we found ourselves at Nicole and Mike’s breathtaking wedding at Erna’s Elderberry House and the gorgeous Chateau du Sureau, just south of Yosemite National Park. This location was a dream in every sense. The weather was perfect and every detail around the Chateau was elegant and purposefully set by Carina Stephens, the Elderberry House’s special event coordinator.
After the girls finished getting ready at a friend’s cabin in Bass Lake, we did some photos around the grounds of the Elderberry House with the guys and girls. Mike and Nicole wanted to stay separated until the ceremony, so we took advantage of the extra time to craft some creative portraits in the Old Europe-styled parlor with the bridesmaids and the Bistro Cellar Bar with the gents. We love the bridal portraits of Nicole in the Chateau–what a stunning bride.
We really had fun getting to know all of the friends and family members in attendance. We were so happy with these portraits, but we’re even happier for Nicole and Mike (and Ellie Mae) who are now a family!
