Ariel and Patrick had an incredibly beautiful wedding day in September. Their room at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel overlooked the Jefferson Memorial and the Potomac River for a scenic view of the city. After getting ready, we met up at West Potomac Park for their first look, which could not have been more perfect with the weeping willows in full greenery around them. The love between these two was palpable. They are crazy for each other and we had a great time taking photos with them and their wedding party there and at Lincoln Memorial–including their adorable pup! We headed to the Speakers Balcony on Capitol Hill for some couples portraits of just the two of them and played in the Rotunda of the Capitol before returning to the hotel for a sunset ceremony and lively reception featuring performances by Ariel’s dad and Patrick’s mom. Finnegan beers were toasted, the Horah was danced, and Ariel and Patrick ended the night rocking out with their wedding band. We had a great time seeing some of our former wedding clients, working with some top notch vendors, and capturing this beautiful day!
