Airlie is a gorgeous conference and retreat center nestled into rolling hills of Warrenton Virginia. This place has some real history having accepted global leaders, heads of state, and diplomats for their meetings of the minds over the past half century. We were thrilled to photograph Kasey and Josh here on their wedding weekend and absolutely loved the variety of colors and settings throughout the property. In keeping with Kasey’s family traditions it rained most of the day, but she and Josh had a great attitude about it and we still took as many photos outside as we possibly could with them and their wedding party! Thanks to the beautiful surroundings, even a rainy day was incredibly beautiful and Kasey looked stunning in her Limor Rosen dress. We enjoyed reuniting with Paperboy Films as well, who presented a moving same-day edit of the wedding day that brought tears and cheers at the viewing. This wedding was all that a destination wedding should be–thoughtful, intimate, and an absolute blast!
Our favorite moments that weekend were definitely:
- The RV that Kasey’s family drove down from New York so that Grandma Jan could be there.
- Grandma Jan dancing, walker and all!
- Billy exploding the champagne bottle.
- Josh breaking out the breakdance moves.
- Kasey and Josh’s vows! Erin may have shed a few tears.
